Closely inspect a sample of natural granite and you will notice flecks of color you didn’t see at first glance. That natural “Granite Effect” look is the inspiration of Gruber’s line of over 325 Granatex granite-effect solid surface filler materials.These granular solid surface materials used are to cast products for kitchens, bathrooms, and architectural environments – such as vanity decks, kitchen countertops, vanity bowl and sinks, wall panels, bathtubs, shower pans and surrounds and more. Granatex allows manufacturers to create solid surface products without gel coat, this is an important factor in the manufacturing of vanity tops, tubs, and kitchen countertops. We offer a full range of granite colors and sizes, from granules to larger particles.
Note: All attempts have been made to accurately demonstrate cast material in the images below. However, samples shown may vary from finished cast product, and may not precisely portray color, hue or granule size. Resin used will affect color hue of final cast product. Your monitor’s color accuracy will affect the color hues shown. If a precise color match is required, order sample swatches of this product, or for the most accurate samples using your resin, order a 3 lb box of the material and cast it using your specific resin.

Granatex® GTX 200 is our most affordable line of granite effect fillers – also referred to as solid surface materials. In keeping with the tradition of Granatex, the GTX 200 line offers more vibrant looking colors than other similarly priced products on the market. It can be used without gelcoat for densified solid surface flat stock or with gelcoat for products used where water is present. GTX 200 is pre-blended with ATH for your convenience and to assure color consistency.
Granatex GTX 200 is offered in nine (9) colors.
GTX 250 Marble Glaze
Granatex® GTX 250 Elite “Marble Glaze” is a new granite effect filler designed for use behind gel coat. The development of the Granatex 250 family is based on the desire to create exceptionally attractive, upscale looking colors that process using traditional cast marble methods. The result is casting colors in browns, blues, grays and cream, each displaying outstanding vibrancy and depth of color. To show these colors to your customers is to show them surfaces that are unique in the industry.
Currently, there are six (6) Granatex 250 material choices.
Granatex® 350 is an economical granite effect filler that offers more vibrant colors than similarly priced products on the market. It can be used without gel coat for densified solid surface flat stock or with gel coat for products used where water is present. Granatex 350 is pre-blended with ATH for your convenience and to assure color consistency. Simply add resin and catalyst, mix and pour.
Granatex 350 is “easy on your equipment” and can be blended by using conventional mixing equipment. The use of gel coat is recommended when significant water contact is anticipated. Whether behind gel coat or as a solid surface part, Granatex 350 is an ideal material of choice for shower pans, vanities, water closets, bidets, tubs, or accessories. Granatex has been engineered to minimize particle settling and part warpage. Granatex 350 has the added benefit of being a lightweight filler resulting in high volume yields per square foot cast. Lower density results in lighter cast weights for your finished parts.
Granatex 350 is offered in 17 standard colors with custom colors available. Packaging is available in either 50 lb and 500 lb containers. Cast sample chips and 3 lb containers of Granatex filler are available upon request for evaluation.
Granatex GTX 351 consists primarily of the pigment concentrated chips found in each Granatex 350 color pattern to which manufacturers add their own Alumina Trihydrate. We recommend a ratio of Granatex 351 and ATH at 2:1 in order to approximate the look of our Granatex 350 colors. Sold in 50 lb boxes unless otherwise noted below.
Granatex GTX 400 is an economical alternative to Gruber’s top-of-the-line GTX 500 and 700 for solid surface application. It can also be cast behind gelcoat. The particulate size of GTX 400 is the same as that found in GTX 500, giving the color patterns a fine textured appearance. It is an excellent choice for solid surface kitchen applications as the material provides excellent stain resistance and barcol hardness when manufactured according to supplier specifications. GTX 400 is pre-blended with ATH in a convenient, ready-to-use one bag mix.
Granatex® 400 filler is easy on your equipment and can be blended by using conventional mixing equipment. The use of gel coat is recommended when significant water contact is anticipated. Whether behind gel coat or as a solid surface part, Granatex 400 is an ideal material of choice for shower pans, vanities, water closets, bidets, tubs, or accessories.
GTX 400 is available in 120 materials, and is available in either 50 lb and 500 lb containers, as well as 3 lb (1.4 kg) sample sizes. Be sure to order cast samples for the materials you stock to supply to your customers for evaluation!
Granatex® GTX 500 is a highly engineered, granite effect filler, designed for use in high water contact environments. Blended with appropriate solid surface resins, Granatex 500 can be used without gel coat, in the manufacture of kitchen sinks, lavatory bowls, shower pans, bathtubs, and many other water intimate products. This is a unique formulation that is the ONLY granite filler material that can successfully be used in situations that involve high water contact without blushing. Granatex 500 is unsurpassed for blush and stain resistance. Combining these outstanding colors with the elimination of gel coat, results in some of the most attractive solid surface parts found for direct water contact available!
Designed to be user friendly, Granatex GTX 500 Series uses a tear and pour concept. Using the recommended ratio of resin to supplied filler; manufacturers simply have to blend the resin, filler and appropriate amount of catalyst to create a mix that is ready to pour. Granatex GTX 500 is available in 45 standard colors. The Granatex GTX 500 Series is currently supplied in 40 lb or 400 lb containers, or a 3 lb (1.4 kilo) sample box size. Super Sack quantities are available upon request.
Granatex GTX 501 consists ONLY of the pigmented color chips used in Granatex 500 to which manufacturers add solid surface quality ATH as a substitute for the Granatex 500 processed background material. It is designed for use with a manufacturers own source of ATH. In a suggested ratio of 1 part Granatex 501 with 1 part ATH, the resulting blend will approximate the colors of Granatex 500. The advantage of using Granatex 501 comes in the reduction of shipping weight and therefore savings in shipping costs. It also allows manufacturers to combine Granatex 501 with a variety of colored chips and fillers to create custom blends. It should be noted that although Granatex 501 provides the manufacturer the ability to approximate the look of Granatex 500. Be forewarned that the final product will not match GTX 500 in performance due to the unique formulation of the background material used to create GTX 500. GTX 501 is NOT recommended for high water contact environments.
Granatex 501 is available in over 100 colors with more available upon request. It is supplied in 40 lb and 400 lb containers. Super Sack quantities are available upon request.
Granatex GTX 600 is better known throughout the industry as “Spray Granatex”. Granatex 600 is a unique formulation used for spray manufacturing cost-efficient granite-looking products. Granatex 600 is highly suitable as an architectural surface coating.
Once a sufficient layer of Granatex 600 has been applied, the remainder of the part can be back filled with a low cost casting system or reinforced with fiberglass. The result is an affordable part with granite-like appearance. Superior performance and depth can be achieved when sprayed behind a clear gelcoat. It can be applied to a wide range of materials using either a dry hopper spray system or a wet spray system. Granatex GTX 600 particles become blended with gelcoat as they are applied to the mold surface or object being sprayed.
Spray methods for Granatex 600 vary depending on the type of part and production equipment available. Dry hopper systems are excellent for large production shops due to minimal down time when changing colors and reduced clean-up time. In applications where parts are intricately shaped, a wet spray system works well as it can be more closely controlled. Designed to be user friendly, Granatex 600 uses a tear and pour concept. Using the recommended ratio of resin to supplied filler, manufacturers simply have to blend the resin, filler and appropriate amount of catalyst to create a mix that is ready to spray.
Granatex 600 is currently available in 33 colors and is supplied in 40 lb or 400 lb containers. Super Sack quantities are available upon request.
Granatex® GTX 700 “Designer Plus” series is the latest in a long history of innovative fillers used in the manufacture of solid surface products from Gruber Systems. This new family of fillers makes use of our new chip-in-chip technology to bring to the customer that natural look found in many stone based products. Designed to be user friendly, the Designers Plus 700 Series uses a tear and pour concept. Using the recommended ratio of resin to supplied filler, manufacturers simply have to blend the resin, filler and appropriate amount of catalyst to create a mix that is ready to pour. A unique blending of colors with visual depth and elegance makes the Designer Plus 700 Series the material of choice for discriminating customers. The Designers Plus 700 Series is currently available in 13 colors and is supplied in 50 lb or 500 lb containers. Super Sack quantities are available upon request.
Granatex® 701 consists only of the pigment color chips used in Granatex® 700. Manufacturers add solid surface quality ATH as a substitute for the Granatex® 700 processed background material. The result is a material that approximates the high quality of Granatex® 700, our top-of-the-line granite filler material.

Large Particle Add-On
Large Particle (LP) Add-In is a family of pigment colored chips in the 1/8” diameter range. They are designed to supplement or enhance the color of existing granite effect fillers, or can be used to create completely customized products. Large particles can be added to Granatex GTX 350, 400 or 500 series fillers to create exciting splashes of color.
LP Add-In chips can be blended into existing solid surface materials in a wide range of percentages. A recommended starting point is 5-10% of the total blend. For a strong presence of color, additions of 15-20% of LP Add-In may be desirable.
Large particles are available in 3 particle sizes: Large, Coarse and Super Coarse, and are available in 22 popular colors.
Color Base is a single color chip that can be blended with other color chips and Alumina Trihydrate to create totally customized textured patterns. A key advantage of this product is that you can blend your own colors of granite using higher ratios of alumina trihydrate than our other concentrate fillers. Some of our customers have developed attractive colors using alumina/chip ratios up to 3:1, thus significantly reducing their material costs while producing a reliable solid surface material for flat stock.
Granatex Color Base is available in fine or medium mesh sizes of 12-18, 18-25, 25-40, 40-60, 60-120, and 120-fine. 35 different colors are available.
