What is Marblemite?
Marblemite is a calcium carbonate filler specifically designed for use in cultured marble. It comes ready to use with the proper combination of coarse and fine particles.

What is different about Marblemite?
Marblemite is not a blend like some other one-bag products on the market today. Marblemite is crushed and ground directly to the correct distribution of particles for maximum effectiveness in cultured marble recipes. Since it is not a blended product, there is no danger of having the wrong blend shipped to you.

Marblemite produces parts with a popular warm tone, this allows for greater flexibility in final color than "marble dusts" with a cold gray tone. In addition, the high whiteness of Marblemite may allow reduced levels of costly color pigments, offering additional raw material savings.

How is Marblemite made? Marblemite is natural calcium carbonate from one of the world's purest, whitest deposits. With stone washing and sorting facilities, only the whitest and cleanest marble from the quarry is used in the production of Marblemite.

What about "black specks"?
Black specks are dark colored marbling materials that occur naturally in calcium carbonate. All marble or natural calcium carbonate contains these dark materials as color impurities. These impurities cause the desired veining effect in natural marble, but in cultured marble color additives are used for this effect.

Procedures during mining and processing have been improved by the installation of superior washing and sorting equipment which have enhanced the color properties and reduced black speck levels to a minimum. However, even with advanced processing methods it would be impossible to promise the total elimination of all black specks.
