Recycled Thermosets from Post Industrial Thermoset Scrap

Thermoset Scrap Is Technically and Economically Recyclable

Recycled thermoset fillers from post industrial thermoset scrap are currently available for use in products made by SMC, BMC (GRP) compounds and other processing systems.

The R.J. Marshall Company has developed a method to process thermoset plastics into a quality, consistent filler which will help meet society's demand on this industry to conserve resources and reduce land fills.

We are actively recycling thermoset scrap on both an "open loop" (recyclate used in other applications) and "closed loop" (recyclate used in same application) basis. We seek opportunities to run trials to verify technical and economic viabilities.

Filler: Recyclate containing various fillers are available including ATH for flame retardance and acid resistant applications, and calcium carbonate are available.

Particle Size: Three different particle size ranges are designed for SMC compound, BMC compound, and for use as moderate reinforcement.

Colors: Various colors are available based on availability of raw materials.

Contamination: Several methods are used to ensure that the recyclate is free of contamination, including magnetic and metal separation and provisions for ensuring clean, consistent quality material.
